Breaking into consulting is competitive, but with the right preparation, every student has the opportunity to succeed.
When I started learning consulting technicals for an interview, I saw firsthand how challenging casing could be. At the same time, I saw talented peers struggle to secure internship offers—not because they weren’t capable, but because they didn’t have access to the right resources and guidance. Recognizing this need, I launched a mentorship program with 25 mentors and 125 students to provide structured support last year.
As the program grew, it became clear that in-person casing instruction was essential for student success. To address this gap, I partnered with Forrest to establish the Consulting Academy and Mentorship Program (CAMP). Our mission is to ensure that every UVA student has access to the mentorship, training, and insights necessary to navigate the consulting recruitment process with confidence.
CAMP offers a 9-week bootcamp featuring structured case prep, hands-on workshops, and a collaborative community designed to help students excel in interviews and land top consulting roles. In our second year, we’ve expanded to 30 mentors and over 150 students attending weekly workshops, and we’ve even launched an internship trek to top firms in Washington, D.C. over spring break!
